1675 King James Bible Printed At Oxford

[Bible in English.] The Holy Bible… Oxford: At the Theatre, 1675.

First edition, first printing, first variant (colophon dated 1673) of the first English Bible ever printed at Oxford – the beginning of a great tradition of Bible printing.

Quarto. Collates complete. Engraved general title-page, printed general title-page, A-Z8, Aa-Zz8, Aaa8, Bb8 (sic), Ccc4, (A)-(H)8, (I)3 [(I)4, blank, excised]; engraved New Testament title-page, printed NT title-page, (A-(P8 [8 a blank]. Some light damp and other occasional staining; intermittent light browning/foxing. Overall still a very clean copy, with very comfortable margins.

With Book of Common Prayer, Oxford 1675, bound in at front and the 1675 Sternhold and Hopkins metrical Psalms bound in at back.
