A biography of the famed young missionary to the Indians adapted from his holograph diary by the renowned New England Divine, Jonathan Edwards.
Expelled from Yale (which now has a building named for him) for sympathizing with the Whitefield Revival (and for remarking that a particular tutor had “no more grace than this chair”), Brainerd was nevertheless successful as a missionary to many Indian tribes in the Massachusetts / New York border region and into New Jersey. He died at the age of 29 in the home of Edwards, whose daughter he was engaged to marry.
Please Note: This is a low-resolution photo, which shows the format, but makes reading the text nearly impossible. In reality, the text of these Bibles is large enough and clear enough to read very easily.
