1865 A Description of the Great Bible
Only a few dozen copies of this ultra-rare special limited edition book were assembled in 1865. It is the highly sought-after definitive overview of the 6 issues of the 1539-1541 Great Bible Pulpit Folio and the 5 issues of the 1611-1640 King James Bible Pulpit Folio. Dr. Fry physically tipped in several original sample pages from each issue of these 11 ancient Bibles. Nothing like this has ever been assembled again after this 1865 project was completed, and nearly all the examples were originally distributed to institutions and universities as reference pieces. Finding one available for sale in private hands is an extraordinary opportunity.
