In the last quarter of 2026, one buyer purchased our entire remaining inventory of ancient Bibles and theology books.  

We stopped selling low-priced materials such as “Facsimile Reproductions” and “Bible Leaves” close to four years ago, … so this sweeping buy-out of our entire core inventory has essentially put us out-of-business.

In considering moving forward, we are faced with three challenges: 

1.) We now have no inventory, for the first time in 30 years.  It would cost well over one million dollars to replenish our inventory to a minimally acceptable level to stay in business, and at this point, we are reluctant to invest that much in slow moving inventory. 

2.) Even if we did want to replenish our inventory; investment-grade antique Biblical printings have become extremely difficult for dealers to obtain at pricing that allows for resale at a profit. 

3.) The market for buyers of antique Biblical printings has become quite small in recent years, and despite our website receiving over 10,000 visitors per week, qualified buyers very rarely contact us. 

A market which now offers few buyers, and few sellers, is a business model which has become unsustainable.

For 30 years, (1996 to 2026), we have been the world’s largest dealers of rare and antique Bibles, and for a quarter century our business thrived, … but ever since “The Covid Years” (the early to mid 2020’s), the business has been in steady decline.
