A-z8; A-R8, S4 (explicit of Revelation on S2v; colophon S3r; S3v, blank; S4v, woodcut. Internal misprints corrected in manuscript: headlines of f5 (fol. 45) and [f7] (fol. 47) “CVNDVM MATTHAEVM” to “Marcum.” Ink notes at finis of Apocalypsis. Other ink notes. Some corner chips repaired. Some damp, with light dried mold stain residues to lower margins and sometimes into text block. Some loss to extreme lower corners f5-m[1]. vide: DM 6102, note, Darlow and Moule, Latin, 1522, p. 920: “In 1522 Thomas Volfius of Basel published a quarto edition of the Bible (Copinger 187) , which substitutes Erasmus’ version for the Vulgate text in the N. T.” Book at hand appears to be an octavo “offprint” – if you will – from that publication that is not noted in Darlow and Moule. Full old blind-tooled calf with expert modern repairs. Fore-edge and bottom edge with MS titling: Novum Testamentum Erasmi.
