1629 The First Edition King James’ version printed at Cambridge
First edition, first printing of the King James Version at Cambridge under the 1628 royal re-ratification by Charles I of the 1534 charter from Henry VIII.
Despite its general excellence, this text has the distinction of the first appearance of the much-carried-forward misprint in I Timothy 4:16: “thy doctrine” for “the doctrine.”
